Facit Touch Screen Station for Workshops

Facit Touch Screen Station is a fully integrated, ruggedised shop floor terminal designed for use in the manufacturing environment. We have drawn upon many years of experience in building shop floor products in order to perfect this design.

The Facit Touch Screen Station comes with Facit WinDNC, software for administartion of NC programs and communication with machine tools. The WinDNC software is designed to operate with touch screen terminals. Single screen access to all functions is available to the machine operator for ease of use. Keyboard entry is not required, eliminating data entry errors and reducing operator training.

Rugged, expandable and flexible, the Facit Touch Screen Station offers a fan filtration system for cooling and protecting from harmful debris. The swivel base is designed to accomodate an assortment of mounting positions e.g.either table top or machine side mount.

   Two standard ISA expansion slots provide for the integration of network interface cards allowing the Touch Screen Station to be incorporated in local area networks. By adding another expansion card up to eight machine tools can be connected to oine Touch Screen Station. This is supported by Facit WinDC.

Facit Touch Screen Station is based on standard computer technology to allow Microsoft Windows based products to be operated in harsh environments otherwise prohibiting the use of a computer.

The external keyboard port permits the operation of software not designed for touch screen interface. An external floppy drive can be connected to load system software or user files without the risk of unauthorised copies of software being made.
